Help Another Mother

May 31 is the "New Lungs for Life" benefit for Renee Bronson. Please remember this Herkimer mom, who is awaiting the call for a double lung transplant. The benefit runs from 4 to 9 p.m May 31 at the Herkimer VFW, and even if you can't stay, you can stop by and check out some of the fundraising events.

The Frank J. Basloe Library is closed on May 28 for Memorial Day. Many will come to the village's Memorial Day parade, and the ceremony in Myers Park. We will see you there, remembering those who have gone before us, always keeping our freedom in mind.

Fine-Free Week

Out are in free! It's not tag, it's National Library Week, and all overdue materials FROM Basloe library in Herkimer can come in for free between April 16 and April 21. It's a great time to bring 'em all back. Others have been hoping to read those books and watch those movies!
